Restrictive Covenants
Trash & Recycling

Trash pickup days are on Tuesdays and Fridays. This is for household waste only, no construction, remodeling waste or hazardous (paint, pesticides, oil, gas, antifreeze, corrosive chemicals, etc.) waste. Yard debris are picked-up only on Wednesdays.

Recyclables pickup day is Tuesdays.  Acceptable items include: newspapers (bundled, in paper bags, or in a separate recycling container), glass and beverage containers, aluminum and steel cans, #1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs.

Yard Debris are Picked-up only on Wednesdays - Bagged leaves must be on clear plastic bags or biodegradable paper bags.  The leaves can also be placed inside trash cans with lids on them.  Miscellaneous yard clippings such as tree limbs and brush, must be securely bundled.  The bundles should not exceed 30 lbs and should not be more than 4-5 feet in length.

Use Securely Closed Trash Cans for everyday trash per the ARC regulations. This regulation helps in preventing wild animals from roaming our community and also assists with trash control in the common areas.

No Trash Before 7:00 pm - Place trash on the curbside no earlier than 7:00 pm the night before pickup.  Placing it before 6:30 am the morning of pickup is sufficient.

Hide Those Trash Cans and Recycling Bins - These items must be stored in backyard or deck, not in your front or side yard.  Your neighbors appreciate your doing this as soon as possible after trash collection.

Bulk Items:  Will be picked up by American Disposal Services only on Fridays.  Please notify ADS (703-368-0500) at least 24 hours in advance when leaving bulk items for pickup. For more information visit the ADS website.

Inclement Weather: American Disposal Services will cancel collection in areas in which they deem the roads unsafe due to snow or ice. There will be no adjustments or make-up schedule for missed service due to inclement weather. Trash, Recycling and Yard debris collections will resume on your next regularly scheduled service day.

Christmas Tree Collection: Christmas trees will be picked up on your scheduled yard debris collection day through the 2nd week in January. Trees put out after the 2nd week can be placed out with the regular household trash. Please be reminded that all trees must be placed out without tinsel or decorations on them. Do not place trees in plastic bags.

Holiday Schedule: Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and New Year's Day, are the only holidays that American Disposal observes. No services will be provided on these holidays. If your trash, recycling, or yard debris collection falls on these days, service will resume on your next regularly scheduled collection day.
